Shockwave Therapy

Extracorporeal shock waves are pressure waves generated outside the body that can be focused at a specific site within the body.

Shock wave is a technology that originally was used in humans as a means to break kidney stones. This therapy has been adapted to treat chronic injuries, including tendon and ligament injuries, osteoarthritis, and navicular disease. This type of therapy stimulates healing by improving blood flow to the site of injury.

This therapy can be used on both equine and small animal patients.
